Lomax + Wood have launched a range of high performance, made-to-order, Contemporary-style timber windows and doors in response to customer demand.  The range includes Tilt Turn windows, Alu-Clad casement windows and coordinating Bi-folding doors, sliding doors and entrance doors as well as a triple glazed option that meets Passivhaus standards of performance.

Made from premium quality, robust engineered timber, these Contemporary products combine unbeatable quality with modern styling.  Full of innovative features they benefit from state-of-the-art traditional manufacturing technology to achieve aesthetics that meet today’s bold architectural theme.

“The products in our new range will allow architects, developers and homeowners to create buildings with a distinctive and modern appearance,” says Chris Wood, managing director, Lomax + Wood. “Every product is manufactured to unsurpassed standards of quality and to our renowned levels of craftsmanship and attention to the very finest detail.”

These high performance products offer the very highest levels of thermal and acoustic performance.  The Tilt Turn window or Alu-Clad window with a Euro 78mm wide profile and 42mm wide glass unit achieves a U-value of 1.0W/m²K, significantly ahead of the requirements of Part L Building Regulations. For ultimate performance triple glazed products in the Contemporary range are available to Passivhaus standards, the world’s leading fabric first approach to low energy buildings, and achieve a dramatically low U-value of 0.78 W/m²K.

Contemporary products by Lomax + Wood are finished with high quality, spray applied, micro-porous paint or stain which achieves a beautiful, low maintenance surface.  Choose from a wide range of RAL paint colours, or the popular duo-tone option which allows separate interior and exterior colour treatment.

“We have introduced this Contemporary collection of timber windows and doors as our existing clients wanted us to supply not only their period property developments but also those with more modern sightlines,” continues Chris Wood.  “It is important we meet our clients’ expectations.  These new and very attractive products are manufactured to suit the project specification and customer delivery requirements.”
