Lomax + Wood are proud to announce that they have been selected from the UK’s finest timber window specialists, to supply and fit their made-to-order timber windows at the historic Kensington Palace. The building is to be a two story extension to the Grade-I  listed Queen Anne Orangery, a building deemed of national importance. The 323 year old Orangery will be used as an education centre for children to learn about the Royals.

The Grade-I Orangery, adjacent to Kensington Palace is reported to having been constructed in 1704-05 for Queen Anne, as she was to become. Baroque in style the building was used for parties and to protect plants susceptible to damage during the winter.

Attention to detail and quality made-to-order timber sash windows, casement and doors have led to Lomax + Wood being repeatedly specified on prestigious projects such as this in London and across the UK.

Lomax + Wood are committed to sourcing from sustainable sources, to this end they have worked hard to achieve FSC® Chain of Custody which is deemed by many to be an environmental gold standard. This work was undertaken in partnership with BM TRADA who are also seen as a mark of quality in the timber window and door industry. Always ensure any business professing to use FSC®  timber is actually certified and the authenticity is verified on the FSC® website.
